Prep
Primary Prep is an exciting "academic summer camp" for post 5th and 6th grade students. An academic enrichment program in itself, Primary Prep also prepares potential applicants to either continue on in Buffalo Prep or participate in other local educational programs. The summer of 2001 (our pilot year), more than 40 Primary Prep students participated in classes, field trips, and in a variety of enrichment activities. The summer of 2002, Primary Prep expanded to two program sites to serve more than 150 children. In 2003, Primary Prep was modified to be held at one location, The Nichols School, and served more than 100 students. Like the core Buffalo Prep program (now called "Secondary Prep" due to the expansion), Primary Prep serves low-income, motivated African American, Hispanic, and Native American students. We will be accepting applications for our summer 2006 class in the spring of 2006. If you are interested in applying to Primary Prep for 2006, check our Calendar of Events section for the dates and times of our Information Sessions. Many thanks to our Summer 2004 Primary Prep program supporters, The Buffalo Bills Youth Foundation, Children's Youth Foundation, and Erie County Human Services Public Benefit Funding.
