Graduate Prep

Graduate Prep prepares juniors and seniors in our 13 consortium schools for the transition from high school to college, so they not only get into top colleges, but also succeed while they are there. Our College and Career Advisor works one-on-one with high school students who have completed the Secondary Prep program, helping them apply to college and universities and to attain the best financial aid packages and scholarships - factors crucial to their success.To best serve our students, Graduate Prep:

  • Assists high school students with internships through our collaboration with Inroads of Western New York and through our board member contactsOffers advisement on applying to summer college-preparatory opportunities.
  • Expands students' options by attaining admissions materials, identifying top institutions, and arranging visits with admissions representatives and on-campus tours.
  • Increases the caliber of students' applications by offering SAT preparation (conducted by The Princeton Review), college essay writing workshops, information packets, and one-on-one advisement on interviews and essays.
  • Accesses extensive financial aid assistance by attaining SAT, ACT, and college application fee waivers, and by providing guidance with financial aid forms, private scholarship resources, and application.
